What we are looking for
- Original articles of 800 to 1,500 words that have not been published anywhere else.
- Guides that help a reader prepare, compare or decide: checklists, cost explanations, “what to ask” lists and step-by-step walkthroughs.
- Topics that fit one of our categories, such as home improvement, health services, financial services, legal services, travel or pets.
- A neutral, helpful tone. Articles that read like advertisements are declined.
Our standards
- Accuracy. Facts, figures and rules must be correct and, where possible, supported by a reputable source.
- Clarity. Short paragraphs, descriptive headings and plain words. Explain any technical term the first time you use it.
- Usefulness. Every section should help the reader do something: ask a question, avoid a mistake or make a choice.
- Transparency. Tell us about any business relationship connected to the topic. Links must be relevant and add value for the reader.
- Responsibility. Health, legal and financial articles must present general information and encourage readers to consult a qualified professional.
